In early 2017, I worked with Jen Rosenblit to design props for her new performance "Swivel Spot", a collaboration with Geo Wyeth, which debuted at the Kitchen. She needed a piece that could transform components: becoming a squeegee, scythe, charging bull, and plastic-dispenser. Called the "multi-purpose tool", this object was used throughout the show in its various functions by Rosenblit and dancer Lexi Welch. I also designed and fabricated a 2 tier modular table for the performance used primarily to house the sound equipment used by Wyeth, and ultimately as punctuation for movement. We chose a bright purple acrylic for the tabletop surfaces.
