SILVERSMITHING CLASS :)

Welcome to the jewelry studio!

In this class, you will learn how to use an acetylene or butane torch to melt, fuse and solder silver and brass. All students make whatever they want to make! There are plenty of examples in the studio, if you are daunted by designing :)

We will walk through the basic principles of silver working, the chemicals we use, and how to achieve a specific outcome. Students also will experiment with basic finishing techniques, using sandpaper, a flex-shaft grinder and polishing wheels. Students are also invited to try making pieces with jeweler’s brass and bronze in class. All materials and tools will be provided! Beginners welcome!
